Taylor started her career with YouTube beginning by making ASMR videos using her smartphone. PewDiePie included her in his video about gaming shortly after she hit 50,000 subscribers, about one and a half years after posting her first video. Taylor quit making videos on her Youtube channel after 2 months old and had nearly 100,000 subscribers. This was mainly due to technical issues with her new equipment, and the overwhelming success of her channel. After taking a long time off for a month, she began producing new videos. Taylor made her popular ASMR ten triggers to aid in sleeping (35 millions views in the end of August in 2022). ASMR 20 Triggers to Help You Sleep, a series of videos aimed at Sleeping, was uploaded in July 2017 and was watched by 38 million people. In August 2017, she appeared interviewed in Shane Dawson's video. Shortly after, she was able to reach 1 million YouTube subscribers. In February of 2019, Wired UK estimated that she was earning $1,000 per day in advertising revenues on her YouTube channel

Helfer is a native of rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada in Canada, the children of Dennis Elaine and Dennis Elaine Helfer. She is born to German and English descendance. She studied at the William E. Hay Composite High School of Stettler situated in Alberta. Three of her sisters Tammy, Tara and Trena resided and worked on their family's farm. A modeling agency scout discovered Helfer aged 17 when she was waiting in line for a screening.
